The Traverse series is a system - three technical layers that connect to each other via LayerTech. Each layer works alone or together for the worst conditions. The full stack weighs under 1 lb. It would take seven different jackets from other brands to match the functionality of Sundial's three-layer Traverse system.

Born on the Colorado Trail.

Andrea thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, with attempts on the Colorado Trail and the PCT. In 2022, she and her dog Kiefer were caught in a hailstorm above treeline on the Colorado Trail. They sheltered under a pine while ice pelted down. Kiefer was soaked and shivering. Andrea, who had spent years dialing in her own kit, realized she had never found gear for her dog that was worth the pack weight.

So she made it.

Recycled Fabrics

At least 50% recycled fabric across the line. Outer shells and linings are recycled; we're still sourcing a fill that meets our loft-retention bar before we can claim it too.

Small-batch production in our Louisville, Colorado studio. No warehouse of unsold inventory. Every piece is sewn after you order it.
